Hand holding a blank white plastic card

Custom plastic promo cards work for more than discounts. Because they look and feel like a bank card, customers treat them as something worth keeping. Here are campaign ideas that use that to your advantage.

Launch and opening offers

Hand out a card with an opening offer to people in the area or at a launch event. Give it an end date to create urgency.

Referral cards

Give existing customers two or three cards to pass on to friends. Each card gives the friend a discount, and you can track which cards come back.

VIP and early-access passes

Invite your best customers to a private sale or preview evening with a printed pass. A plastic card feels more like an invitation than an email.

Trade and corporate discount cards

Builders’ merchants, wholesalers and suppliers can issue cards to trade accounts showing their discount level.

Event tickets and passes

Numbered cards with a barcode or QR code work as reusable passes for festivals, conferences and season events.

Making them work

  • One clear offer per card
  • A unique code per campaign so you can track redemptions
  • Short terms on the back
