A Trustpilot review card is a plastic card that opens your Trustpilot review page when a customer taps it with their phone or scans the QR code on the back. It is a simple way to collect reviews from customers you meet in person, or from online customers when their order arrives.
Who Trustpilot review cards suit
- Online shops: put a card in every parcel so the request arrives with the product.
- Service businesses: hand one over at the end of an appointment or job.
- Showrooms and trade counters: keep one by the till for customers paying in person.
How the card works
Each card is encoded with your Trustpilot review link, so a tap opens the page. The QR code on the reverse goes to the same link for customers who prefer the camera. Use the review link from your Trustpilot business account and check it opens the review form for your business. Read more about how NFC review cards work.
Cards and Trustpilot invitations together
If you already send Trustpilot email invitations, a card is not a replacement. It covers the moments email misses: customers who paid in cash, gave no email address, or opened their parcel before the email arrived.
Making the request
Keep the wording short and neutral, for example “Tell us how we did on Trustpilot”. Ask every customer in the same way, whatever you expect them to say. Trustpilot’s guidelines expect invitations with no strings attached.
What the review rules allow
Google’s review policy treats discounts or free goods offered in exchange for reviews as fake engagement and prohibits them. Trustpilot does not allow incentivised reviews either, and in the UK the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act gives the CMA powers to act on misleading review practices. Keep it simple:
- Ask every customer, not only the ones you expect to be happy.
- Do not offer discounts, prize draws or freebies for leaving a review.
- Never write reviews for customers or ask staff to review their own workplace.
Trustpilot review card prices
Review cards cost £14.95 for one card, £29.95 for three, or £49.95 for five. Each one is encoded with your link for tap-to-open and has a QR code on the reverse for phones that prefer the camera.
