Colourful market stall with hanging textiles

Custom key fobs are small, so the design has to work harder than on a full-size card. A clear logo, one message and well-placed practical details are all it takes. Here are ideas and options.

Fitting your logo

Use a simplified version of your logo if the full one has fine detail or small text. A bold mark reads better at key fob size.

Front and back

  • Front: logo and brand colour
  • Back: barcode or number, phone number or web address, and a “please return if found” line

Colour ideas

  • One colour per membership level
  • A bright colour so keys are easy to find in a bag
  • A seasonal design for a limited promotion

Hole placement

Keep the hole away from the logo and barcode. Allow a margin around it so nothing important is cut.

Barcodes and contactless

Barcodes need a white or light background and clear space either side. Contactless chips sit inside the fob and do not affect the design.

Finishes

Matt hides scratches from keys; gloss gives bright colours; spot UV can highlight a logo.

Formats

See 1-up, 2-up and 3-up key fobs to choose how many fobs come together.

Options and prices

Options include QR codes, barcodes, numbering, magnetic stripe, signature panel, contactless chips, hole punch, spot UV, and a matt or gloss finish. Every file is checked and proofed, and nothing is printed until you approve the proof.

Key fobs and tags are sold in packs: 15 for £30, 30 for £45, 60 for £80 and 120 for £160, with 45, 75 and 90 packs in between. Magnetic stripe, NFC contactless and RFID versions cost the same.
